I am a senior at UC Davis majoring in Asian American Studies. I work at the Head Research Assistant for Professor Valverde. I have presented my work on Japanese anime and rise of Robot culture in Japan at the Undergraduate Research Conference at UC Davis. I manage a team of over ten Research Assistants. I recently finished a co-authored paper, "Precariously Positioned: Asian American Women Students Negotiating Power in Academic Wonderland." It is slated to be published in the anthology, "Fight the Tower: Asian American Women Against Injustice in the Academy." I have also presented this paper at two professional conferences, Asian American Studies Association and the Pacific Sociological Association. I am also a MURALS scholar researching on student activism. I have won various academic grants during my time as an undergraduate at UC Davis.
