During our first Cluster Meetings in April, we connected with so many scholars working on Viet Nam issues including representatives from Education, Music, Psychiatry, Vet Med, Asian American Studies, Entomology, and Agriculture on the UC Davis campus. Our robust discussions and keen insights was constructive and inspirational.
Our first cluster meeting was highly successful and set a nice foundation for our second set of meetings regarding the development of Viet Nam. Due to this success, we have decided to host a second Cluster Meetings in May 2017.
This time, we expanded the meeting over two days, May 25 and May 26. We had a great list of attendees including special speaker, Professor Hoi Nguyen, from the University of Da Nang in Viet Nam working with start-ups and incubators, and entrepreneur, consultant, and writer from Viet Nam and NYC, Andrew Rowan, founder of GKTA Group Ltd. We discussed how to successfully conduct businesses in Vietnam, provided feedbacks for each other's personal projects, and developed potential projects and possible collaborations beyond our campus to advance the Initiative and New Viet Nam Studies.
