Associate Professor Caroline Kieu-Linh Valverde of the Asian American Studies Department is looking for students interested in research and developing themselves academically and professionally. As Dr. Valverde's research assistant, you can:
• Develop project management skills: event planning, communication and marketing skills
• Hone business, grant, proposal and research writing skills
• Gain a glowing recommendation for future endeavors
• Experience in editing and publication
• Curriculum development

DEADLINE: MARCH 23, 2018 @ 11:59PM

*NOTE: You will be contacted within 24-hours after the deadline for first-round interview.

REQUIREMENTS:
○ Trained in Microsoft Office/ familiar with Google softwares (i.e. Drive, Documents, Sheets, etc.)
○ Commit to 5 hrs/week (note: this may vary depending on urgency and projects)
○ Attend bi-weekly and monthly meetings between Dr. Valverde and the team
○ Assist Dr. Valverde in her current/future projects
○ Must be passionate, open-minded, and a hustler
○ Assist and train incoming research assistants
*NOTE: This position is open to all majors (in STEM, Social Sciences and Humanities) for both undergraduate and graduate students.
